Apple’s Time Flies launch event in September came and went without the announcement of a single iPhone – what we got instead were two new iPads and a brace of Apple Watches. You can read our definitive reviews of the eighth-gen iPad, Apple Watch Series 6 and Apple Watch SE starting on page 66. Apple has finally made Look Around available in the UK and Ireland – albeit in a limited number of cities. Introduced with iOS 13 and rolled out across the US last year, Look Around is now available in London, Edinburgh and Dublin. It apes Google’s Street View, giving you a 360° panorama of the area, making it easier to recognise a location. As well as Look Around, the Apple Maps update also adds cycle routes and EV charging locations – although these are currently limited to London. Apple is continuing to roll out Look Around and other Maps features across the UK and Europe, with its fleet of mapping vehicles surveying the Netherlands, Belgium, Finland, Norway and Sweden.
