I think in our day-to-day lives we can often overlook the little things which hold real moments of beauty and perfection. My day: I wake up pretty late at the moment as I’m not rehearsing. I do a little stretch and meditate, walk George, my 12-year-old shih tzu, then I’ll make a smoothie and hit the road. I use the time to learn lines and songs – I must look really stupid at the lights. This week I met with performers, producers and newspapers for the charity fundraiser I’m writing and directing, took a friend out for her birthday, hung out with my family, had a singing lesson and rehearsals for a concert at the end of the month, and worked at my friends’ shop in Orewa.
