Winning letter As a schoolteacher I see a lot of anxiety in children and it worries me that more and more of them seem to be struggling to cope with the challenges that life throws their way. Many already struggle with fitting in, and with talk around obesity drawing attention to different body shapes, body shaming is a real issue. Kids can be so unforgiving, so it was reassuring to read about the work that Emma Wright and Angela Barnett are doing to empower our youth to develop body confidence and become “warriors, not worriers”. The more we talk about these issues, the more likely we are to raise a body-positive generation.
