No motorcycle is perfect, but as a do it all road-going performance bike, the Aprilia is as close as you’re going to get. The V4 wail, its precision handling, poise, feeling for grip and refinement make you smile. A wheelying, track-focussed, speed monster, it’s as wild as you want, but the Tuono can be just as calm. It’s roomy, easy to manage and will cruise along.
On paper the Moto Morini doesn’t compare. It’s two grand more, less powerful, slower and old-tech. It never fully behaved, but the Aprilia doesn’t overshadow it. The Corsaro is more exclusive and its V-twin motor is a torque-laden ball of fun. It’s exciting, involving and looks as mad as a box of frogs.…
