Makes 1 (9-inch) cake 1 cup butter, softened 1 cup granulated sugar ½ cup firmly packed brown sugar ½ cup creamy peanut butter 3 large eggs 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon baking powder ½ teaspoon salt 1¾ cups buttermilk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup semisweet chocolate morsels 3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream Smooth Peanut Butter Mousse (recipe follows) Peanut Butter Frosting (recipe follows) Garnish: chocolate-dipped peanut brittle ONE Preheat oven to 350°.
