AUDI AI:TRAIL Audi’s electric, all-terrain concept is designed to tackle the outdoors without doing any environmental harm. According to Audi, the AI:TRAIL’s cabin is trimmed in sustainable natural materials, such as recycled wood and leather. Those rugged features are applied to a surprisingly compact frame measuring 4,15 metres long and just 1,67 metres high. Arguably, the most other-worldly element of the AI:TRAIL is the way it illuminates the road ahead. Instead of relying on traditional headlamps, the concept makes use of drones which fly ahead, lighting the off-roader’s path.

AUDI RS7 SPORTBACK Billed as a high-performance, wide-bodied five-seater, the second-generation RS7 backs up its muscular body kit with a 4,0-litre V8 twinturbo-petrol engine developing 441 kW and 800 N.m.

Those outputs, channelled to the tarmac via a performance AWD system, catapult the RS7 to 100 km/h in just 3,6 seconds and on to an electronically limited 250 km/h top-end (305 km/h with the Dynamic Plus package). The V8 unit also employs cylinder-on-demand tech and can be coupled with an optional RS sport exhaust system with black tailpipe trim providing an “even fuller sound”. A mild-hybrid system featuring a 48 V main on-board electrical system capable of recovering up to 12 kW under gentle acceleration also features, along with a launch-control function for the eight-speed auto ‘box.
