“We all know who’s really behind this, don’t we?” My absolute favourite soap storyline is The Stalker – and we have two of them this issue, with both Corrie’s Sarah and Emmerdale’s Dawn being given the collywobbles by a mysterious lurking someone. Now, a stalker plot has two phases… 1: ‘Who Could It Be?’, which is where we are this week – and bless the writers for just about playing the game by suddenly introducing token extra suspects: Dawn’s ferrety ex, Alex; and some random called ‘Jeremy’ in Corrie. Yeah, yeah. We’ll humour them of course, but we all know who’s really sending Sarah threatening lilies and expressing their feelings on Dawn’s wedding dress, don’t we? Bride-to-be Dawn suffers a sinister setback ahead of her big day this week, as a mystery stalker destroys her wedding dress.
