Cricket South Africa’s (CSA) new board of directors has been in office for barely six months and already, like many of its predecessors, it’s dealing with legal issues regarding prominent employees.
Following a meeting at the weekend, the board, chaired by Lawson Naidoo, decided that formal inquiries into findings made in the Social Justice and Nation Building (SJN) report have to take place.
Specifically, it announced yesterday that director of cricket, Graeme Smith, and Proteas men’s head coach, Mark Boucher, would be subject to inquiries by independent legal experts in the new year, after they were fingered in the SJN report.
