Rescued Sheep Gets the Weight of the Wool Taken Off His Shoulders LANCEFIELD, AUSTRALIA Baarack, a male merino sheep, looked odd when he arrived at Edgar’s Mission Farm Sanctuary on Feb. 5. “He looked like a moving cloud,” says Pam Ahern, 60, the founder and director of the 153-acre nonprofit. Before being placed in the sanctuary, Baarack was found roaming the woods alone, weighed down by six years’ worth of unshorn wool.
