KITCHEN THERAPY I’m an only child and have always admired both of my parents for their cooking and baking flair. My mom would just fling ingredients together and prepare a perfect meal; my late father made the tastiest curries and would bake pies (prepping his own pastry, of course!). He was also known for his mouth-watering “hertzoggies”. My mom, being a dressmaker, would pop up from her sewing machine to “quickly” bake an orange cake which, may I add, always turned out flawlessly.
