Too often, the wines are overwhelmingly tannic; this one, though, is perfectly balanced, its gamy intensity playing against gorgeous, dark plum fruit. 2020 TIEFENBRUNNER PINOT GRIGIO ($19) A breath of springtime in the middle of winter, this vivacious white from northern Italy has a pretty nose of spiced pears and mint and more substance than you often find in Pinot Grigios at this price.
