Leanne Hays, SEO Content Strategist Crewel Embroidery ($27, FoundByAPropStylist on Etsy) I’ve been drawn to crewel embroidery since childhood. Something about the three-dimensional aspect combined with the hours invested makes each piece a treasure. I visit Etsy and eBay to expand my collection, and just purchased this gorgeous still life. I love the ‘70s color scheme and satisfyingly fluffy chrysanthemums. Cullen Thomas, Writer & Producer Arc of Justice by Kevin Boyle (Audiobook available on Audible for $26.21) This epic historical legal drama paints a rich picture of Jazz Age Detroit to tell the story of the murder trial of Dr. Ossian Sweet. It digs deep into race-driven political dramas that continue to shape the American landscape. Rheanne Taylor, Senior Video Producer Daily Harvest ($7.99 per smoothie) I recently ordered some smoothies from Daily Harvest in an attempt to…

DID YOU KNOW? SpaceX Is Making Space Travel a Reality The days of boarding a rocket instead of catching a flight have never felt closer than after Elon Musk’s SpaceX company sent two astronauts into space on May 30 off the coast of Cape Canaveral, Florida. The first US human space flight in nearly a decade, this event acted as the final test flight to vet the company’s future plans to offer a private air shuttle service. Side note: This was no ordinary space shuttle. SpaceX equipped the Falcon 9 rocket with touchscreens, automation technology, and custom space suits for the astronauts aboard it. THE NUMBERS 700,000 While virtual reality has struggled to find its way into people’s everyday use, the pandemic has virtual tourism on the minds of many. Take Finland, for example. The…

everything apple announced at wwdc 2020

Apple covered a lot of ground at its fast-paced virtual WWDC 2020 keynote in June, where it unveiled macOS Big Sur, iOS 14, iPadOS 14, tvOS 14, and watchOS 7 along with plans to switch from Intel processors to Apple silicon for the Mac. When it came to software updates, a unified user experience was the theme of the day.
