‘I think you should put some weight back on,’ was my honest answer.
Joe, 58 and a lecturer, had been dieting for six months, and recently reached his target weight of 13st 7lb. He’d shed 3½st, shrinking from a 40in- to a 34in-waist. Losing his middle-aged spread made him look years younger.
And that’s great. For him. But I preferred him when he was chunky. And I definitely enjoyed our lifestyle more when he wasn’t dieting.
