ON A SUNNY FRIDAY EVENING in a hidden-away corner of west London, an event space at the boutique guesthouse Mason & Fifth was transformed into a colourful explosion of creative craftsmanship. Hand-crocheted wool hats were suspended from the ceiling, while patchwork quilt pieces adorned the floors and walls. Standing 1,086 metres above sea level at the top of Table Mountain in South Africa, I realise it’s much more fun to touch clouds.
