Another year, another Inside Soap Awards – and what an amazing night it was. It was fantastic to see Emmerdale win the trophy for Best Soap for only the second time, and the cast were certainly in the mood to party. Check out all the pics and gossip from the big night over on p38. Elsewhere this week, there’s another big soap celebration as Hollyoaks clocks up 20 years on our screens – a fact that makes me feel very old, since I remember going to the press screening of the very first episode! As you’d expect from the Chester lot, it’s a drama-filled week which, among other things, will finally reveal the identity of the ‘Gloved Hand Killer’ – something we’ve got a sweepstake on here in the Inside…

Cain comes up with a killer plan to save Aaron from jail this week – murdering Robert and framing Chrissie for it! Fearing that his nephew is about to take his own life after falling into a deep depression, Cain feels he has to act fast to prevent a tragedy for Chas and the family. He believes that if he can make it look as if Chrissie killed Robert at the hospital, Aaron will walk free and the Dingles can start to heal. We’ve seen Cain and Zak face some turbulent times as they’ve fought and made up time and again. However, after this extreme moment, Jeff reckons viewers are in for a treat as things develop. “The two of them are going to have a big heart-to-heart,” he reveals. “It’s a life-changing moment.
