‘Bikers help other people, it’s what we do’ MARK HAWWA, RIDE SUNDAY FOUNDER Ride Sunday is a new charity event started by the guys behind the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride.
Operating in a similar vein, riders meet up and ride together raising money for their chosen charities in the process. The first event was on Sunday, June 4, and over 1200 riders participated globally, covering over 85,000 miles on 239 separate rides. Mark Hawwa, founder of Ride Sunday and the DGR, pledged to cover 1km for every $1 he raised, ultimately riding over 3000km.
“The idea for Ride Sunday began in 2014 and there are lots of reasons why we have created it,” says Hawwa. “We want to create the ‘International Day of Riding’, to bring motorcyclists together to foster an…
