EACH TIME a new Lamborghini Miura emerges from long-term ownership, we can almost sense the excitement from the marque experts. Bonhams will offer this matching-numbers, right-handdrive 1969 P400 S Coupé at its December Bond Street sale, after almost three decades of ownership by the same family. Finished in a striking red over gold colour scheme, with red and black interior, it’s estimated at £ 900,000-£ 1,200,000 and has no reserve.
This 14,500-mile car is joined by an even lower-mileage (just 6200km) 1981 Lamborghini Countach LP400 S Coupé from the same late owner. This car, with the ‘optional’ rear wing, has also been with this same family since 1989. Again offered in the auction with no reserve, it’s estimated to fetch £ 280,000-340,000.
