Bruce Springsteen revealed on his social media accounts on Sept. 6 that he’ll be postponing the remainder of his September tour dates to undergo treatment for “symptoms of peptic ulcer disease,” which occurs when sores form in the lining of the stomach or small intestine. “We’re heartbroken to have to postpone these shows,” wrote the rocker, 74, who had previously postponed two of his Philadelphia shows with the E Street Band in August due to an undisclosed illness. “Thank you for your understanding and support.… We’ll be back soon.” While a source emphasizes there’s “nothing” Springsteen “loves more than performing,” his doctor and family have encouraged him “to take it easy” until he’s feeling better. “In the long run it should be for the best,” says the source.…
