come for tea Each year, I eagerly await the arrival of springtime to see which of the plants in my yard have survived the freezing temperatures of winter. To my amazement, they often don’t just survive; they thrive. Their tender shoots and buds foreshadow the coming of lush foliage and beautiful blossoms, which have inspired so much of this issue of TeaTime, from menus to articles. Children will delight in our outdoor, whimsical afternoon tea to celebrate Easter (page 39), while grownups will revel in the array of edible flowers we’ve incorporated into the foods of our fête set in a gorgeous garden (page 49).
