The Gallery The best digital art from the CG community “Elden Frog is a model sculpted in ZBrush, then, instead of making a usual low-poly mesh, the high-poly model was decimated to about two per cent of its resolution. After merging a few meshes together, I did automatic UVs in RizomUV and baked in Substance 3D Painter. Once the texturing, also in Substance Painter, was done, I was able to render in Arnold. This technique helped me avoid the cumbersome steps of retopology and UVing, while being able to get legit textures and render in Arnold. The Gallery CG art to inspirc “I've always been a fan of video games, especially Nintendo games. I decided to make this sculpture shortly after playing Luigi's Mansion 3 on my Nintendo Switch. It was a fun experience and its world caught my attention. The workflow I followed was simple. First of all I did a blocking of the character in T-pose with props, then I posed them and blocked the rest of the elements. Next, I resculpted and polished the whole sculpture (Sakaki Kaoru's brushes were useful here) and then added the details. Finally, I Polypainted it in ZBrush and rendered in Arnold. The Gallery CG art to inspire BASED ON CONCEPT BY TSUAII (instagram.com/tsuayee) ARTIST Corey Kinard SOFTWARE Blender, ZBrush “I'm an avid Mario fan and was inspired to sculpt Tsuaii's version of Bride Princess Peach from Super Mario Odyssey in 3D. I used ZBrush to sculpt her face, and Blender's sculpting and modelling tools to create her hair, wedding dress, Piranha Plant bouquet and accessories, and then light and render her. Blender was also used to prepare each piece for 3D printing. I love the ability to bring virtual creations to life through 3D printing and enjoy displaying them with other figures on my desk. The Gallery CG art to inspire “This artwork is inspired by the series and films of the Tokusatsu genre of the 80s and by a character design from my concept artist colleague Soanja Connac. She designed a little beetle robot for a project we are working on. Next, I designed a mecha version of her robot and a kaiju based on a mantis crab, before making them battle it out in this keyframe. This was my first time designing an action scene and I loved choosing the poses and camera angle.
