Beder is a charity founded in 2019 by Razzak Mirjan in honour of his brother Beder, who sadly took his own life at the age of 18. The charity raises awareness around mental health and suicide prevention, and has partnered with YoungMinds (youngminds.org.uk) and Samaritans (samaritans.org) to further the cause. Beder has published From Beder’s Kitchen (£22, Meze Publishing), a cookbook featuring 90 recipes from some of the UK’s top chefs, food writers, bloggers and more, with stories about their own mental health and how cooking has played a part. ‘From Beder’s Kitchen is a chance for us to normalise the conversation around mental health and suicide prevention, by using food as the connection between us,’ says Razzak. Christmas dinner sausage roll MAKES 16 PREP 20 mins COOK 30 mins EASY * 375g ready-rolled puff pastry2 heaped tbsp cranberry sauce200g turkey thigh mince50g dried stu ing mix6 chipolatas1 egg, beaten16 sage leavesgravy, to serve 1 Heat the oven to 200C/180C fan/ gas 6.
