Was the Capri one of the most important European Fords to come out of the ’60s? We think so. Like its North American counterpart, the Mustang, the Capri helped create a new market sector for a car the hard-working person could afford that they desired – not just needed. From that original Mk1 to the last of the ’80s Mk3s, the Capri always remained that, and 50 years on it’s still instantly recognisable to anyone old enough to remember when they were a common sight on the road. Ford Fair is offering you the chance to get onto the legendary Silverstone Circuit to win the title of the fastest sprint of the day. The UK’s classic car hub, Bicester Heritage has gained approval for a massive 70,000 sq.ft expansion.The site at the former RAF Bicester in Oxfordshire currently accommodates 40 specialists and is at capacity, so the additional buildings will cater for demand including additional workshop and apprenticeship facilities.
