When I moved house in 2021, the list of things to arrange at my new address seemed endless: broadband, postal redirection, electricity, water, council tax, TV licence and so on. But never did it occur to me to set up a new landline. I was happy to leave that behind. Soon we won’t have much choice in the matter.
