A note from the editor
It’s not long now until the clocks change and I’m looking forward to escaping outdoors again. As editor-in-chief, I spend a lot of time at my desk and it can be hard to step away from the day-to-day demands of this (albeit wonderful) job. I’m grateful for the longer days: they prompt me to shut up the laptop in the late afternoon and potter around in the garden for an hour or so before the light fades. Although I don’t do anything much, I know it’s time well spent, giving my mind the space to rest and recharge. My weekends, however, will be a whole lot more productive this year, as I am determined to get on top of my vegetable plot. The soil in the raised beds is currently rain-sodden…
