You will need: Two paper plates Two split pins Bottle top or cork Googly eyes Black pipe cleaners Cut 1/3 off one of the paper plates. Paint the full plate black and the cut plate red. When the paint is dry, cut the red plate in half. Use the bottle top or cork as a stamp to print black spots onto the red plate pieces. These will be the ladybird’s shell (did you know that this is called the elytra?) Using a sharp pencil, poke a hole in the corner of each red piece. Place the red plate pieces into position over the black plate and attach by pushing the split pins through the holes. Open up the split pins on the back to hold in place.
