Beaches are filled with many beautiful rocks and pieces of glass that we love collecting. Can you guess what this is? It is called a Mermaid’s Purse and it houses shark eggs. You will need: 250g of pasta, 2 or 3 cherry tomatoes, 1 large avocado, 2-3 tablespoons of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt and pepper. Put some water in a large pan. Once the water is boiling, add the pasta and cook for 15-20 minutes. Transfer unto a bowl. Mash until creamy, using a fork. Add the olive oil and lemon juice. Drain the pasta, put it in a bowl and add the avocado mash. While the pasta is cooking, cut the avocado in half. Take out the stone. Scoop the flesh out with a spoon. If the green mash is too thick, add a couple of tablespoons of water. Add the cherry tomatoes, and sprinkle with some salt and pepper. You will need: A large, clean, empty yogurt potTwo paper platesCardColoured paperA cocktail stickGreen tissue paperPaint and crayons or colouring pencilsSalt Glue the yogurt pot upside down onto the paper plate. Cut a strip of card long enough to wrap around the pot for the top of the sandcastle. Mix some sand coloured paint. Add some salt a little at a time and mix until the paint has a nice sandy texture but is still spreadable. If the paint gets too dry you can add a little water. Cut out the turrets as shown. Glue the card in place. Paint the sandcastle all over in white paint. Cover the whole sandcastle and plate with the salt paint. Leave to dry. Cut the rim off the second paper plate.
