CHOATE SURVIVAL STOCKS FOR BREAK-OPEN AND PUMP-ACTION SHOTGUNS Modernize Granpappy’s shotgun into a modern survival gun! Choate’s Mark 6 stock will hold five rounds of shotgun ammo. The tension can be adjusted to vary how hard the rounds are to remove by tightening the adjustment screws on the side of the shell holder. Great way to always have additional ammo for your single shot shotgun or a place to store cartridge conversions (see the article on shotgun cartridge adapters in this issue)! Length of pull is adjustable from 14 to 15 inches, comes with a one-inch soft rubber recoil pad (forends sold separately on some models). Choate has models for H&R break open shotguns, as well as pump models like the Remington 870, Mossberg 500, and Winchester’s Defender line. Prices start…

cz’s bren 2 ms

While the AR-15 is by far and away the most popular box-magazine-fed semi-auto rifle in America, we have always had alternatives. Thanks to a decade of panic buying everyone and their brother and their brother’s cousin and their brother’s cousin’s mother have bought one or three or seven ARs, and the sales numbers would seem to indicate that everybody is AR’ed out. Which, ironically, has led to a renewed interest in non-AR designs. Case in point: the CZ Bren 2 Ms. Currently CZ-USA is importing six different versions of the Bren from the Czech Republic, all pistols. If you like the 7.62x39mm cartridge you can have it in a 14-, 11-, or 9-inch barreled pistol, and if you prefer the 5.56x45mm it’s available in a 14-, 11-, or 8-inch barreled pistol.…

ultimate pdw? flux defense takes your glock to the next level!!

I started a quest many moons ago for a Grail of sorts. What I would call the perfect “bag” gun. My hunt was for a Personal Defense Weapon (PDW) to meet my individual needs. I wanted something small and light enough to be easily carried in a discreet bag when out and about. Just in case. I intended it to be a complement to, rather than replacement for, my concealed carry piece. Why bother with such a piece? It would offer an increase in hit probability and extend the range over a traditional pistol, especially in the hands of your average shooter. By being concealed in a discreet bag, you could grab and sling it if you felt the need and go about your day. I envisioned it serving multiple…

the lionadi l4 custom factory, or factory custom?

Our previous President will perhaps go down in history as the greatest gun salesman of all time because of his very vocal opposition to the Second Amendment. Those years and years of panic-driven sales in AR-15-style rifles have caused a recent lull in sales of these guns, but sales are gradually picking up again, in part because new consumers come of age every day, and in part (once again) due to politics. As I write this Democrat Presidential candidate Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke is very thoughtfully doing everything he can to boost the sales of AR-15 style rifles in America by promising to not just ban them but confiscate them by force from otherwise law-abiding citizens, and none of the other Democrat candidates are speaking out against this. Forget the unConstitutionality…

mech-tech carbine upper for 1911-style pistols

Although I have been a 1911 guy since 1982, when got my first one, I don’t carry one much. Typically, I carry a 12–15-shot 9mm pistol, and for the past 13 years, my main carry gun has been a Beretta Px4 Sub-compact (and I don’t carry it just because I did the marketing launch for it at Beretta when I worked there, it’s just a great pistol). Before that, I carried either a Smith & Wesson model 669, 6909, or 6944 (I have a thing for S&W 2nd and 3rd generation pistols, especially compacts). I like double/ single-action pistols for CCW and liked them as a duty gun when I was a deputy sheriff (even though I got stuck with the double-action-only 6944 for uniform duty, and it wasn’t really…
