CHARLOTTE HARRIS Charlotte is a garden and landscape designer who won Gold for her first RHS Chelsea Show garden this year. She now runs a collaborative practice with Hugo Bugg from studios in Exeter and London. His book Plot 29 was longlisted for the Baillie Gifford Prize. On page 60 he shares his thoughts on nature and nurture. “I found peace among…

While our days will be infused with exquisite light, by night we will revel in the fin de siècle atmosphere of our lakeside hotels. The warm, humid microclimate results in exceptional growing conditions, with much to enthuse the plantsman. Combining great botanical interest with the fascinating history of the gardens’ origins, our tour will move from the Renaissance to the 20th century through compelling and often neglected chapters…

The RHS Chelsea Flower Show showcases not just the best garden designs and designers but also the best plants, and nursery Hortus Loci is a key grower for the show gardens – the details of which are usually kept top secret until the event. Our Reader Day will give you a behind-the-scenes preview of the plants being grown for RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2018, just before they head off for Chelsea.
