I am shortly celebrating a milestone birthday and need something spectacular to wear for my evening party. I have been informed that my co-hostess will be wearing a full-length gold gown and doesn’t want to be outshone. What would you suggest? Throw on a lot of diamonds, as many as possible, then wear something simple but devastatingly chic – ideally, a sharply cut tuxedo suit – so your co-hostess looks a little overblown.
