‘I gave up everything and threw myself into this new adventure. There was no time to be afraid’ Pierre Sauvage’s Paris home is as inviting as it is impressive. The stately 18th-century mansion has the high ceilings, ornate plasterwork and panelling typical of a historic building in the city. But it is also overflowing with Mediterranean colour and warmth thanks to the vibrant rugs, upholstery and homeware that Pierre designs for his Spanish-influenced interiors company, Casa Lopez. “I really like houses, not as a decorator, but to live in, to enjoy,” he tells us.
