AMBER GUINNESS / COOK AND WRITER Amber was born in London but grew up in Tuscany at Arniano – a farmhouse bought by her parents in 1989. She attended a local village school, but was sent back to England aged 13. Her first job was as a studio assistant and in-house copy editor for the singer-songwriter Bryan Ferry. ‘I often cooked for the crew and musicians in the studio,’ she says. In 2014, she founded The Arniano Painting School, running residential painting holidays with her business partner, the artist William Roper-Curzon.
