LUCINDA GRIFFITH / INTERIOR DESIGNER After working with Emma Burns at Sibyl Colefax & John Fowler as a design assistant, Lucinda became a consultant: ‘I wanted to offer a service for people who don’t have the budget for an interior designer. I help clients to reflect their personal style.’ In the 10 years she was with Emma, Lucinda learned the importance of ‘giving a house roots and heart, while keeping the decorator’s touch light’. She also takes inspiration from John Stefanidis, Beata Heuman and Roger Banks-Pye, whose work she describes as ‘clever and joyful – and it always looks so comfortable’. This is key in her projects: ‘Comfort is crucial. It doesn’t matter how good your interior looks if people are reluctant to sit in it.’ Her own cottage in Wales…
