BILLY COTTON / INTERIOR DESIGNER Having studied industrial design at New York’s Pratt Institute, Billy began freelancing as a designer making furniture. When his friends asked for help with their houses, he began to see how ‘industrial design could be transformed into a career in interior design’. After a stint of unemployment, he was commissioned by artist Cindy Sherman to design her farmhouse and, from there, things began to take off. He founded his interior design practice in 2011 and was added to the AD100 list in 2017. Born in New England, he finds New York City constantly inspiring and is always looking for new ways to ‘transform the concrete jungle into a place you want to live’.
