They did not let obstacles or life’s circumstances stop them from following a dream, of breaking the mold. Five years, I had a vision to create a professional company that fulfilled my mission of creating lasting memories for families. I wanted others to feel that sense of wonder and excitement that I felt at age five when I saw live wrestling for the first time in a dank small gymnasium in New Martinsville, WV. Being a female run company with a background of non profit charitable involvement has been a major component of what we do and how we have positioned IGNITE Wrestling to always keep our younger fan base in the forefront. So I’ll admit it, I have a bit of crush on the Dream Girl Ellie so when I heard that she was going to finally make her in-ring debut at IGNITE Wrestling, I was beyond stoked for it. But the fans in for a shocker when she came through the curtain. This was not the Dream Girl Ellie that we had grown to love, this was the next level of competitor. How many times have you heard the familiar glass breaking sound of Stone Cold Steve Austin’s entrance music and immediately jumped up and screamed? We know the feeling all too well. For us on the indy scene, it’s that iconic song that we know brings out the best in the business today. As a fan growing up there were really no big entrances. The good guys would come out and smile, wave and fist pump. The heels would come out slower, sneering at the crowd as they strutted defiantly toward the ring. To be honest, many fans didn’t think that Troy Hollywood was going to be able to overcome Aaron Epic after last show’s jaw-dropping heel turn by special referee Zachary Cooper but that didn’t deter this young and hungry grappler from leaving it all in the ring for win. The match was everything that fans could have asked for as Troy Hollywood gave as good as he got. After taking shockingly jarring slams to the outer edge of the ring (the hardest part of the entire structure) he kept coming back for more.
