Have a laugh “What did the yogi say to her dog? Nama, stay!” OK, spiritual stand up might not be for you but laughter yoga is fast becoming a bonafide way of improving our health and wellbeing. Even if you’re not feeling the giggle, you’re encouraged to fake it until you make it to reap the rewards. the working single mum

Rin Hamburgh, 37, runs her own copywriting agency and is mum to two-year-old twins. She lives in Bristol, UK. I give myself permission to say, ‘I’m feeling stressed’. If I’m in a stressful situation and I feel like I should be calm, it can just end up making me feel worse. So instead, I acknowledge what is happening in that moment and say: “I’m really stressed right now but I’ll work through it and it will be fine.” Accepting how things are and knowing that it will pass helps to give me a bigger picture perspective. I talk to people who get it. If I am feeling stressed, talking to someone else can really help. It needs to be the right person though, and not just someone who wants to solve the problem –…
