Like many crocheters, the inspiration to pick up the hook came from the desire to make super-sweet toys for my children. There’s something special about giving a toy that you have spent time and love creating. So, this issue is dedicated to all the cutest critters we could find! We couldn’t resist putting this classic honey bear on our cover. He comes complete with bow tie, honey pot and tiny bee. You’ll notice that it’s often the little details that give a toy character, like our trio of love bears – each have their own scarf and pom pom filled ears. Just adorable. WE love Visit Briswool Briswool is back this year, bigger and better than ever! The crocheted and knitted model of Bristol features local landmarks, notable characters and reams of colourful houses, all created by volunteers, and masterminded by Vicky Harrison from Paper Village. The model will be on display at the M Shed until Sunday 12th June, and is well worth a look.
