As the wonderfully eloquent Becca Parker puts it in our p50 feature: quilting is for everyone, but there’s no denying its female heritage. As International Women’s Day (IWD) rolls around again, I’m incredibly proud to work in an industry overflowing with talented women. Luckily for me, there are plenty in the pages of this issue! Fran Gulick’s designed a bold and striking chevron cover quilt, Zeïba Monod honours her Senegalese heritage with a stunning Ankara quilt, and Jo Hart even designed two FPP projects in celebration of IWD (to be admired all year round).
