Another busy month has passed, which saw numerous sports-shooting competitions, gong shoots and matches take place all over South Africa, as well as in neighbouring Namibia. Of course, covering every single event is an impossible task, despite On Target Africa receiving many invitations to do so from shooting associations far and wide. The shooting calendar is indeed chock-a-block! For example, KwaZulu-Natal held the first leg of its popular Natal Gong Series long-range gong shoot from 10 to 12 March, nestled in the rolling hills of the Drakensberg near Melmoth. The province’s next long-range shoot is from 17 to 19 November in Nottingham Road, known as the Midlands Gong Shoot hosted by Nico Harris.
