My hero is . . . Michelle Obama. Her moral compass is so strong. She’s clear-eyed and authentic and brilliant. I just find her inspiring. My favorite classic holiday movie is . . . Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. I don’t even have kids, but it kills me every time. I think we all relate to Rudolph, you know? I feel most proud of . . . Honestly my dog Luther. I haven’t trained him, so it’s purely his nature, and I take all the credit. He’s basically the love of my life. My guilty pleasure is . . . Anything salt- and vinegar-related. Also Trader Joe’s dill-pickle popcorn. That’s the other one I lose my mind over. I have an irrational fear of . . . Oh God, when I flush the toilet, I don’t like touching the handle.…

sarah hyland the fight of her life

Sarah Hyland has long been active on social media, sharing silly selfies alongside more personal posts about her long struggle with kidney disease. But behind the scenes the Modern Family star, 28, has been in far more pain than she’s let on. In an interview with Self magazine Hyland revealed that she underwent a second kidney transplant last year, five years after her first. When she learned in 2016 that the first kidney, donated by her father, had failed and that dialysis treatments weren’t working, “I was very depressed,” Hyland said. Her brother offered his kidney for the second operation, but she was fearful. “I was contemplating suicide, because I didn’t want to fail my little brother like I failed my dad.” The second operation appears to have been successful,…

the next jonas to wed!

It’s only been a couple of weeks since Joe Jonas served as the best man at his younger brother Nick’s lavish five-day wedding to Priyanka Chopra, and the singer is still enjoying a postwedding high. “There were so many good memories—the traditional Indian ceremony was just magical,” the DNCE frontman said during an event at JCPenney in New York City on Dec. 6. (He is partnering with the department store to kick off its largest national Giving Spree, benefiting more than 1,200 underserved kids across the country.) “I’m so happy for Nick. It’s really amazing, and I gained a sister.” Joe, 29, popped the question to his fiancée, Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner, 22, in October 2017, and the couple plan to walk down the aisle soon, though they…
