‘I needed a minute. . . . In my 20s, it all hit so fast and so big that it was a little overwhelming.’ —NEVE CAMPBELL, on why she took a break from Hollywood after her Scream success, on The Late Show ‘I used to have an ex-boyfriend who was, like, really into [Instagram], and he would look, and not one time would I ever look at the comments. I didn’t give two crapalonies what anybody says.’ —BRITNEY SPEARS, on social media, to People ‘John got two emmy nominations! 5 things we’re talking about!

1/ Sandra Oh makes Emmys history She saved lives on Grey’s but totally slays as a spy in Killing Eve, becoming the first Asian-American to get a nod in the Lead Actress in a Drama category. 2/ The Handmaid’s Tale wine fail Offred or white? Fans of the Hulu drama were not amused by the release of three blends named after oppressed characters. The seller quickly put a cork in the line. 3/ Indiana Jones 5, coming soon . . .ish The release of the fifth film was moved to 2021, when Harrison Ford will be almost 80. There’s nothing Indy can’t do—except, you know, snakes. 4/ Kevin Hart and Mike Epps’s feud The grown men beefed on social media after Epps claimed that “everyone” is funnier than Hart. He responded by calling Epps a “crab” and…

Was it fun playing a dad in this comedy? Yeah, it’s funny going from not having a kid in a movie to having one that’s 18—I’m like, “Oh, am I that old? Okay.” What do you hope listeners will get out of your audiobook? Just to have some laughs and go, “That’s exactly what I was thinking.” You donated $100,000 to the National Alliance on Mental Illness following the tragic death of your sister-in-law Kate Spade. Why was that important? More people suffer from mental health issues than we may realize. No one should ever feel ashamed to reach out for support. What are you grateful for? The easy one is my mom, because she’s the best role model and guiding force. And being semi-healthy at this point. Now when I hit “DR” in my phone to…

george clooney lucky to be alive

WHEN GEORGE Clooney’s scooter slammed head-on into a car in Italy on July 10, launching the star high into the air before he landed in a dazed heap on the road, it seemed the stuff of a movie stunt sequence. Of course, the horrifying collision, captured on video by a security camera, was very real—and by all accounts, Clooney, 57, is one lucky man. His and wife Amal’s families “were very worried and on the telephone reassuring one another, saying how lucky George was,” a close source tells People. “He could have been killed.” Fortunately the actor, who had been en route to the Sardinia set of his Hulu series Catch-22, was wearing a helmet (which reportedly cracked on impact) and managed to escape without serious injury. “George was treated…

luann de lesseps back in rehab

Seven months ago Luann de Lesseps checked herself into rehab after allegedly threatening a police officer in December (she pleaded not guilty). Now the Real Housewives of New York City star, 53, is seeking help for a second time. “Luann is now surrounded by a core group of people who truly have her best interests at heart and who are working to make sure she gets the help she needs,” says costar Bethenny Frankel, whom de Lesseps authorized to speak on her behalf. “Recent additional family stress was a catalyst to her taking a break.” The reality star’s decision to go back into treatment comes just days after her ex-husband Alexandre de Lesseps, daughter Victoria, 23, and son Noel, 21, filed a lawsuit alleging that she breached a stipulation of…
