Using the Multiply blend mode to make the image appear 3D, I then copied the grouped image and flipped it to create a reflection with a shadow created using Gaussian Blur. When John O’Neill founded Conduit in 2001, he had one key goal: to do a great job. Working out of his Michigan apartment, the budding designer took on various freelance projects, even giving client presentations in local coffee shops. Over time, “the projects and studio grew,” he explains, and Conduit now has clients across the US and Europe. However, although the studio has its own premises and seven full-time employees, John – now creative director – tells us that it “will never become too big” and an open environment is “core to our culture.” The open-plan setup certainly seems like a favourable decision.
