How have you been spending the UK’s lockdown? There have been some extraordinary initiatives over the past few weeks – we’ve heard of caravanners using their van as a makeshift classroom or office, and there’s even been some cash raised for NHS charities along the way (p7). One thing is for certain: the period of confinement is sure to make us want to hit the road more than ever, once restrictions are lifted. The industry could do with a real boost, so let’s hope that campsites are among the first businesses to reopen – after all, it’s relatively easy to maintain good social distancing practice when you’re staying in a caravan!
