Best known in its homeland as a manufacturer of cattle feeding systems and hydraulically-powered trailer axles, Swiss company ARB-Tec has now turned its attention to the Cutaro, the firm’s first self-propelled mower. Suitable for working in both small fields and on hilly land, the manufacturer reckons that the wide low-pressure tyres and light weight of the Cutaro SR1100 of just 8.5t allows it to knock down 11m of grass with the minimum footprint. Powered by a 350hp 7.7-litre MTU engine, there is an active radiator cleaning system and the spec includes an air-suspended cab. Top speed is 40km/hr. Section control is one of two new options for Samson Agro’s PG II Genesis slurry tanker. Called GSC (Generic Section Control), the universal system for dribble bar booms, incorporators and injectors, can also works with implements from other manufacturers provided they are mounted on a PG II Genesis tanker with the SlurryMaster 8000 terminal. Said to be easy to install with a one plug connection, GSC works with up to 12 sections on any implement. Control is manually via the joystick on the SlurryMaster 8000, or automatically when combined with an ISObus compatible GPS system with section control. Amazone has added a foldable 6.0m version to its new range of KE 02 Rotamix rotary harrows. Approved for tractors up to 400hp, the KE 6002-2 400 is designed for solo use. Said to be well suited for seedbed preparation (particularly following the plough), the Rotamix system has four tine carriers/m of working width and the trailing tines are said to produce a good crumbling action, even on heavy soils. The company’s Quick+Safe system provides the 290mm tines with an integrated stone release and the tines can be exchanged without the need for tools. Working depth is adjusted via a series of holes and the height of the levelling board is guided by the roller.
