It is often said that it’s an ill wind that blows no good. At a recent Claas press conference, Jan-Hendrik Mohr, who heads up the grain harvest division, pointed out that, as the construction machinery sector has started to slow down there’s now a slight improvement in component availability. This combined, with parts suppliers ramping up production, should help improve matters for the agri sector. He also acknowledged the German machinery maker had struggled to supply combines in time for this harvest but had managed to find a workable solution for most, be it providing used machines or moving combines between countries as crop harvest progressed across Europe.
