FORMIDABLE DOUBLE ACT
Ever since he was a toddler, my son, Liam Tasker, loved dogs. We brought home a Border collie called Rags when he was just three years old, and instantly the two became best friends.
Liam even shared his food and bed with the puppy. I’d often catch them together, Liam, chattering away to his canine companion and Rags, gazing up at him, his big brown eyes full of love.
Liam was a real cheeky chap. He always joked that he was my favourite and called himself ‘the golden child’. His siblings – big brother Ian, now 33, and younger sisters Lara, 26, and Nicola, 18 – all absolutely adored him.
