Like many of us I’m sure, when I was a child I had flying dreams. One of my regular ones went like this. I would wake up in my bed and everything would be quiet, a glow coming through the curtains from the street outside. Lying perfectly flat on my back I would rise up and float. I realised I was floating and would try to ignore it, scared that if I noticed it then I’d drop back down to the bed. Slowly I would feel my way higher, floating on a rising cushion of air. This time he stays closer to home, blasting around the hills of northern England on the new Cayenne 5. everyone’s a winner

Alexander Robé won the overall 2015 XContest, which ended at the end of September. The Austrian pilot clocked up six FAI triangles of between 250km and 268km to win the international online contest. He started out on 19 April with a 259km FAI triangle from Antholtz in Italy, did another 257km on 5 June from Stoderzinken in Austria, followed by two 250km triangles from Stoderzinken in the first week of July, and finished his season with two 268km flights from Antholz in quick succession on 11 and 12 August. He won the Open (7,891 pilots) and the Serial (7,746 pilots) classes in XContest. Alex is one of Austria’s best XC pilots and took part in the Red Bull X-Alps way back in 2003. elemental force

It was a Red Bull X-Alps mini-adventure in Annecy, France when Aaron Durogati and Chrigel Maurer battled it out for top spot in the Red Bull Elements adventure race in late Septemer. Aaron won his section of this unique relay race, completing his leg in 34 minutes 48 seconds, ahead of Chrigel’s 37min46sec. There were 59 pilots in the race and the last one in took 2h21m. One of the world’s most competitive and unique adventure relay races, the event is based around the three natural elements of air, water and earth and includes paragliding, running, rowing and biking. ozone forza

Ozone say the Forza cross-country harness is both light and comfortable, designed for long flights. It is a seatboardless design, and the neoprene pod is removable. The sleek outer is unspoilt by buckles and attachments, but it has plenty of features including an integrated cockpit that doubles as an anti-G.
