STAR LETTER HARRIET POTTER My granddaughter, Emily, is a huge Harry Potter fan. So when I saw the original Gryffindor scarf in Issue 196 of Simply Knitting I knew I had to make a Gryffindor one for her 7th birthday! I made the pattern narrower to fit a child and it worked perfectly! I was then given the wonderful Tanis Gray book ‘Harry Potter Knitting Magic’ for my birthday and was entranced by all the patterns, but Hedwig took my eye and I just knew that this also had to be knitted for the birthday! Emily had a Harry Potter set of robes that she had worn on World Book Day! As you can see Emily loves being Harriet Potter! I am now looking forward to making more things from the book…
