Along with miserable periods of abstinence, doomed attempts to get fit and Red Squirrel Appreciation Day (it’s on the 21st, get it in your diary), January is the month when all the big TV makers show off their new wares – and the spec sheets for Samsung’s latest Neo QLEDs make for much better reading than our bathroom scales. Available with both 4K and 8K screens, all the new models are powered by the rather Skynet-sounding Neural Quantum Processor – although Samsung says this uses Shape Adaptive Light Control and Real Depth Enhancer Pro tech to deliver a more lifelike picture, not threaten the very existence of humanity. With a pair of 13.3in 2.8K OLED PureSight screens, it’s a bit like a folding phone that’s been gigantified – but you also get a detachable Bluetooth keyboard and stylus, which opens up all kinds of different ways to use it.
