AUTUMN HUES Four new shades have been added to the Illustrious yarn range from West Yorkshire Spinners. The lovely colours - a deep red, a soft fern green, and two refreshing blues - are celebrated in a book of knitting patterns by Emma Wright, called Out of the Woods. The book of 10 cosy projects for women includes a choice of modern Fair Isle sweaters in colourways inspired by walks in the forest. There’s a long, enveloping Fair Isle cardigan in shades of berry and blue, with a sweet matching bobble hat. Other feminine designs include a V-neck jumper with lacy textures, a cabled sweater with a ribbed peplum, and a pair of mittens with colourwork details. Illustrious is a blend of Falkland wool and British alpaca, which comes in 100g/225m balls costing…
