From “Vegan Restaurant of the Year” and “Chef of the Year” to “Most Sustainable Restaurant” and “Vegan Chain Taking Over the World,” you’ll find our winners and nominees throughout this issue. Going plant-based is one of the most significant ways you can positively impact climate change. That’s why for this year’s annual awards, we chose to feature only 100% vegan businesses and add a category specifically for restaurants focused on sustainability. I’d like to celebrate the fact that food is finally becoming a part of the sustainability conversation. Recently, I had the privilege of attending an EnviroVoters event in Los Angeles. The organization works to bring sustainability into the political conversation and to achieve climate justice. For the first time, they featured an all-vegetarian menu—with many vegan options. I was…
